The Mobile Solar Initiative

Concentrated photovoltaic systems use mirrors to concentrate sunlight on a few highly efficient triple-junction solar cells. The concentrated “waste” heat can be used to purify brackish water.  By avoiding centralization, two of humanity’s most pressing needs—electrical power and clean water—could become more democratic with these small, even mobile solar systems.
